The Paschal Second
The period of time beginning halfway into the current second and extending to the end of the first half of the next second is the fiscal second.
The last second of every minute is that minute’s funeral second.
The second that begins every minute is that minute’s genesis second.
Every hour has a corresponding genesis minute and funeral minute.
Every day has a corresponding genesis hour, 12am to 1am, and funeral hour, 11pm to 12am.
The second that is currently occurring is known as the king second, an honorific with which every second is designated exactly once in history.
Dead kings are seconds that have passed and therefore no longer occupy the throne of king second.
The king second is the only second that can become the paschal second, for it is the only second in which it is possible to remember a dead king.
When the meaning that a king second would’ve otherwise carried is sacrificed to allow a dead king to be relived through memory, the king second becomes the paschal second, and the dead king becomes a resurrected king.
Hours and Minutes
The hour grieves.
The minute worries.
The minute speaks.
The hour listens.
The hour waits.
The minute hurries.
The minute sketches.
The hour draws.
The minute mumbles.
The hour chants.
The minute vanishes.
The hour perishes.
The hours haunt.
The minutes spear.
The minutes go.
The hours come.
The hours thunder.
The minutes rain.
The hours invoice.
The minutes pay.
The hours buffalo.
The minutes slink.
The hours drool slow,
rainbow-colored blood.
The minutes collect
and inject this rainbow-
colored blood into you.
What do we call the second that comes just before something we thought was going to happen didn't?
